After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Hawaii, Dr. Wheelock earned his D.D.S. degree at the Medical College of Virginia. He went on to complete his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency there and earned his M.D. degree. At Baylor University, Dr. Wheelock obtained his M.S. in orthodontics. A board certified orthodontist, Dr. Wheelock stays abreast of the latest technological advances in his field with active memberships in the following professional organizations: American Association of Orthodontists, Virginia Dental Association, Roanoke Valley Orthodontic Study Club, Roanoke Valley Dental Society and the Super Schulman Study Club.
